Description of the collection

A collection of ca. 100 pamphlets and articles on the South African War (or second Anglo-Boer War, 1899-1902) and related topics. The pamphlets are bound in five volumes. Topics include: the causes of the war; the Afrikaners in southern Africa; conduct of the war; foreign public opinion (principally US, French and German); and proposals for a postwar settlement.

The Library is open to all in higher education, and to other users at a registration fee of £5 per day, £15 per week or £65 per year (please bring valid current ID, including academic ID if appropriate).
